Acutally sid suffers from alot of addictions, Beningo said on the air one day that he hopes sid can conquer his demons and return to the show. This time around he fell off the wagon when he went to D.C with the imus show, he got drunk real hard and blew some big money when he was out with a family member of his who is a big govenment type person from minneapolis. He mentioned many times on air that he was in rehab before for gambling, cocaine and alcohol addictions. Alot of people hate sid, but I wish him good luck fighting addiction.

Sid gets a bad wrap from the Imus show because people dont realize hes playing a character and his Imus persona is very different than his regular persona.

I still say Sweater and Schmoozer were the best midday show on FAN ever. Jody Mac and Susyn Waldman were the worst. maybe the worst i nthe history of radio

I don't like the schmooze, and Susan Waldmna is beyond awful. Jody mac was cool but Sid and Joe are perfect for the 10 to 1 slot. Those guys crack me up

I grew up listening to Jody Mac in Philly and he was always my favorite host when he was on. He actually has been doing alot of shows down here again.

I think Joe and Sid are the best show on FAN, yes even better tha Mike and the Maddog. Mike and Dog, while they are good, they really dont talk about much, if you actually anaylze the show. Many time, they just do a commercial, take one call, talk, and then its time for the 20-20 sports break, and then they go to commercial again. THere was one time driving home from class, which is like a 15 min drive, i only heard like 2 minutes of show, it was strange. It just seems that Sid and Joe are more of a fan friendly team. They know what they are talking about, but they are more like two fans with a show, rather than two big shots talking down to people about sports.

I've been listening to WIP and WFAN since grade school 15+ years ago. I have always had a problem with FAN because it seems like every time I turn it on it's a commercial. Like someone earlier said, it's like they have 2 minutes of show then go right back to commercial or some boring interview with a triple A batting coach, or the Giants quarterbacks coach.

I think the Schmooze, whatever the F his name is, is the worst show....I can't take his speeches, his voice or the way he speaks. He is pretty knowledgable and a likeable guy but I cannot take his show for more than a few minutes.

Ok, once again, what the fuck happened to Sid. I was listening today and it was Joe alone again, and a person called in and said "im sorry to hear what happened to Sid, but hopefully he will be a better fit with Satellite Radio". Did Sid get fired? Anyone got info?

I read about this in the paper yesterday and was devastated. Syd fucking rules, but once again he fucked up. The story is that on Friday's show he mentioned going to some "get-together" in Atlantic City. On Sunday he was supposed to work the Giants pre-game show for the radio. He never showed up or even called to say where he was. He was basically forced to resign. No comments were made by him or his agent.

I'm guessing that Syd went on a bender and proceeded to lose a shitload of cash. Then he said "fuck it' and didn't show up for work on sunday. Such a shame, he was the best guy on The Fan.

Thank you. That sucks, it's really too bad to hear the fell back into his old ways. But whatever makes him happy. Atleast I have no reason to listen to WFAN now because he was the only reason i liked it.

sorry to hear about his demise. I get WEEI and WFAN in well here on the Cape. For obvious reasons i spend more time with the Boston station, but i have always liked the midday guys on FAN. I'd listen to the afternoon show more if it was just dog, but i can't stand mike. he's a pompous ass.
