So ... yea ... I haven't been on RM in a loooooooooooooong time, but I come bearing a gift for you. I figured the other bands forum was the most fitting place to post my guitar covers.

Yeah I'd think Release would be the venue for posting this. That's not a diss on your video which, by all means, seems like an earnest and fairly accurate rendition of one of the most hilariously dramatic guitar solos in rock music history.

I thought Release was for creations?
Oh and you obviously don't know many guitar solos.

Nothing wrong with any of the guitar solos on either of the Use Your Illusion albums. Slash may not be the greatest guitar player ever (not by a long shot) but they fit and I don't find them overly dramatic. I'll admit I have a real bias in favor of GnR from 1986 to 1991 but nonetheless it's great music, even if it's become a tad dated.

Dude, platypus is gonna MOCK you real hard.
Oh, I know. It's ok though. I've got little if any cred here. I wonder how he'd feel if he were 10 years older, though. I feel like GnR had a great impact on people who were listening at the time.

Covers pretty much qualify as "creations", mang. Anyway, most people seem to post their covers in Release, which is why I suggested it. I know plenty guitar solos, and the "November Rain" one holds a special place in my heart for its over-the-top histrionics, right below "Freebird" and Zakk Wylde's "Farewell Ballad" mopey shredfest.
I do not mock, I love any and all mélomanes.

Wow, I haven't been around much lately, so forgive me, but this is a very surprising (and awesome) platypus post.

Your ability to sound smug under any circumstance is admirable.

Like your ability to be a petulant dick when I'm just trying to be friendly.
We should make the betterment of our RM relationship a new year's resolution for 2011.
