In 1995, "Rolling Stone" released its annual music awards with the people voting Pearl Jam as best band.
Also, Nirvana was tapped as artists of the year. Among the magazine's critics' picks, Courtney Love is voted artist of the year, R.E.M. as best band and Green Day best new band.

Artists of the year? Didn't he blow his brains out 4 months into the year? Hilarious.
Courtney love good time.
REM, nice choice and i suppose good call on Green Day. They're still out there pumping it out.

I've heard Ed say it both ways.
But you've only heard Jeff say it one way.

On the Missoula 05 boot, Senator Tester introduces him as AY-Ment. I think they knew each other back in the day, so maybe that helps get to the bottom of this puzzling mystery.
