Last week I sent a message to PJ Radio requesting that they get Brett as a guest on the weekly Roundtable so we can hear about his taping and mixing experiences with PJ and hopefully some word on whether we will ever hear pre-2000 shows. I read today that he will be the guest next week.
If you are a fan of the pre-2000 shows and care about getting them released, please call in and make it known. The calls are usually what you would expect..."I love PJ, I was at the ______ concert and it was awesome, etc." Hopefully there is some intelligent callers next week and we get some real info.
Thanks.

Have you thanked a taper today?

Believe me, I'm being 100% sincere - I'd love the opportunity to ask Brett some questions.
Has anyone from outside of the US called in on a show yet? I might contact Rob to see if it's possible (and figure out what time I'd need to call from over here).

It's possible if you want to make an international call.

Cool, glad someone else is excited about it!
They've actually had some cool info on the weekly show. Regan mentioned "bootleg boxes" today. Obviously I hope it's a set of old bootlegs, but I assume it's they're just empty boxes like the one they did for 2009.

Just be polite in any criticism.
Questions I'm considering:
1. Obviously, are they working on any old shows or has it been discussed?
2. Were the cut up shows released with the Ten SDE because of Sony or because they wanted to keep the focus on Ten tracks, and if it's the latter, any chance they can make the complete show (at least DITP) available for download for 10C members?

Oh for sure - if I were to call in, I wouldn't even go there.

DEFINITELY.
I think everyone wants to know this one and if anyone would know, it probably would be Brett.

I'm not sure how much Brett will be able to help on that one - Brendan O'Brien mixed DITP for the Ten boxset, not Brett, so I doubt he would be able to shed much light on the rationale behind the edits.
He might certainly have some interesting opinions on it all though - and there's a fair chance he's mixing some stuff for the Vs/Vitalogy reissues and so might be able to drop some hints on what to expect.
Other stuff I'd love ask him:
- How much truth is there in the reports that the band have multi-track recordings for every show beginning from the 1993 tour?
- If it's true, what state are those recordings in - ie: are they all complete shows or did he only begin meticulously recording every minute of every show when they began the official boots?
- What does he think the likelihood of us seeing more from those recordings in the future?
(I think it's important that Brett - and anyone else important in the band's decision making team - know how much demand there is for that stuff.)
- Re: LOXL. It sounds amazing, what was the decision process behind selecting each song? Was it his responsibility to pick each version or did the band listen back to some shows and give suggestions too?
- If there's going to be Pearl Jam shows in the upcoming year does he think he'll be back mixing the official boots again?
I'm sure I'll think of more. I'd love to call in to chat with Brett about this myself but I'm still unsure how I'll manage that, I'll have to figure out what time it'll be over here when the show's on. I'd really love to know all of that stuff above.
Oh, I'd also be interested to ask about how he came to work with the band and if he had any particular memories that stick in his mind, whether that's amazing shows or recording the Merkinball tracks with Neil or whatever.

No, my second one is more of a question for Tim but seems appropriate for next week's show.
