My band is heading in to the studio to record guitars/bass this weekend at a small studio in so cal.

Mike has been in the this particular studio for a good part of the month doing recording (not sure if solo record or soundtrack stuff). I know for a fact he is there right now.

Do i swing by to drop my gear off tonight or respect the mans privacy and just show up in the morning. I"ll probably do the later. tempting though

It will still be cool knowing he was in the same room laying down guitar the day before us.

I will be sure to get some info on his sessions as well

He's a really friendly approachable guy, just be respectful. He'd be cool with it i'm sure. let's know how it goes.

Do it tonight. Don't hold him up, but just a quick hello, i love your stuff is not a huge deal.

i'm sure Mike wouldn't be too concerneed with it. The engineer would probaly be the one wondering "why the fuck did he bring his gear here today?"

we'll see how the rest of the day goes

He's super nice in person. Definitely go tonight, might be worth it.

I wonder if he's laying down that Fringe score stuff.

I think it's actually solo album related. Will find out for sure and report back though

my buddy was on the way to chipotle in MPLS just outside downtown...the day after the Petty Shows. Saw Mccready walking around...went up to him and talked to him. He then called me and i chatted with Mike ont he phone for about 10 minutes while i was at work. He's awesome

To be honest, if Mike is working on a solo album that would be fan-fucking-tastic.

saw him walking around at a street fair in downtown Seattle. Would talk to anyone that approached him and didn't seem to mind a bit.

If a solo album does come out i hope it is electric guitar heavy.

Haven't been drawn to any of his acoustic/singer songwrite stuff

Do believe he's had some good pickers sit in on the sessions.

guys, i don't think i'm going to go there tonight. will still get some scoop tomorrow though

well, I meant I would be hoping for an electric/metal style solo album, not acoustic. His acoustic set at The FTM concert last year was so-so, but guys, when he is playing heavy shit, that dude is on fire. It would be cool if he were working on that style of solo project.
