Has anyone here had the pleasure of playing this deceptively simple game yet? You start off mining, collecting resources, crafting tools to help you out and then defending yourself against the zombie hordes when night falls. Well worth a look, and pretty cheap at the moment!

Yeah, I tried getting a few people in chat into this a while back but no luck.
It has a really nice multiplayer that is finally starting to shape up after several months of development. You get out of it as much as you and everyone else puts in. Very fun if you're into this creative sort of stuff.
That star trek thing is a bit on the more extreme geeky side, but there are plenty examples of community built towns that look awesome.

How much have you been playing it Juvenal?
Quite a bit, its surprising how addictive continually mining blocks can be!
I have remembered to be a bit more cautious now, however. This is not one game where you can run into a crowd of enemies and survive..
Mining isn't even half the fun. Building awesome structures is where you can really let your creativity go wild. I still haven't even immersed myself fully into redstone circuitry, but they could probably add a few more uses involving redstone in the game first.

Have you tried exploring The Nether yet?
Love that picture!
I agree with the redstone. At the moment, I don't really see much point in building a lot of stuff (like minecart tracks) until there's more point to it (other than looking pretty).
Yeah, I've went into The Nether. Finding the Obsidian was really difficult until I realised you just added water and lava. Doh!
Fucking ghasts are horrible. Apparently they can spawn outside of portals too...

Wow, I would really hate to meet a ghast outside the nether. Those things are so destructive
In one of my worlds I tried to make a shelter around the portal exit in the nether but the damn ghasts blew up the ground underneath which lead to a long fall into lava.
Currently I've started a new world on multiplayer. I'm just playing with my gf but it is still much more exciting even with only one other person. At one point she mined a 1 block hole several blocks deep in my house. While she was down in it I took a nice bucket full of lava out of my chest and poured it in. Seeing the hole light up she assumed I placed down torches and thanked me for it, shortly before being burned up.

That is awesome.
and at the ending
Yeah I laughed at that too!
Was going well last night in a multiplayer game with a friend. Then in the morning we exited our Casa Del Nerd only to be besieged by 6 (count them!) SIX creepers hiding round the wall.
