This man needs his own thread, and I don't think he has it. I've been a fan for many years, but on my recent trip to LA I picked up an album of his on vinyl which has me listening to him obsessively. What a wonderful songwriter! One of the best.

some of the asides are pretty amusing. "bush and cheney were singing this song in the shower together!... nobody won."
if you got an hour and a half, check it out. it's far from a perfect performance, but i'd hope people wouldn't listen to it expecting one- it was a brutal day out.

I would feel bad for him too.
Thanks a ton for the link! You don't, by chance, have the set as mp3's?

What's even more sad about his classic album(s) being a bit unrecognized is that so many other albums are too. Even on his lesser albums (which are still good) there are amazing songs.

He's one of those few artists who have been conistantly great throughout their career. I think his best came in 2006 with "This Old Road." Just a brilliant album

Now, you're talking! Yeah, he's pretty consistently awesome. This Old Road is a great album.

I like Spooky Lady's Sideshow the best out of all his albums.
