but that song Race Horse??? ummmm ummmm first thing I thought was Big Wave

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-lGoB_RJBk love the 60s feel of that one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUMPAmgR3GU and the punk ness of this one

so their set last night was awesome, it was the first i really heard them other than some videos on youtube.

janet weiss remains a monster on drums.

i picked up the 7" they were selling, so i guess that means they should have an album at some point, but i can't really find any info out about that.

Clearly one of the best drummers of her generation.

It seems that when a band breaks up but certain members keep playing or form new bands there was a rift with the person who's no longer there. I wonder if they weren't getting along with Corin.

Maybe there was something musical, but they all seem to be pretty good friends. Corin's showed up with Janet's band Quasi sometimes, and has been in Carrie's TV show.

I'm pretty sure Corin is doing the proud parent thing.

I saw Carrie at Corin's show last October. They're all still good friends but I am really starting to wonder if they'll ever get back together - the more time passes, the harder I think it will be to get it going. Particularly if Carrie's lame TV show continues to be a success.

I live in Portland. They don't get the stereotypes right 95% of the time and their sketches devolve into repeating the same things and same ideas over and over again until it reaches a saturation point.

There are so many places they could have and should have gone (tall bikes, fights over where food comes from, music snobbery, etc) that would have served them better than showing the same awkward couples and woefully underutilizing Kyle Maclachlan.

They did nail how passive-aggressive people here are, though. I just think they could do a lot better, and that it isn't very funny, and that they saved the funniest moments in the series for their trailer.

And I swear, if I hear one more person say "put a bird on it" here I'm going to punch them. It is absolutely true but I AM SO TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT IT. JUST STFU.

wow, I'm glad I didn't respond to zeb's post with "maybe we should put a bird on it and he'd like it"
