So, after overdosing on 2008-2010 boots while working on 'The Mixer', I decided to go back and revisit what I consider to be one of the finest legs of the band's entire career - the 2006 Australian Tour.
This was actually the most difficult comp I've made to date, simply because there were so many damn good versions of songs to choose from. I might post some Lowlight79-style notes on my selections later.
Download links in FLAC and mp3 are below. Take a listen, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I think Disc 1 might just be my 'desert island' live PJ disc
Disc 1:

Once (Adelaide 2006-11-21) 07. World Wide Suicide (Adelaide 2006-11-22) 08. Faithfull (Brisbane 2006-11-10) ---. "Happy to be on your island" (Sydney 2006-11-07) 09. This looks amazing, I'm gonna download the FLAC version right now and have a listen in the next couple days. Again your artwork is really something special, great job!

I'm on this now. Thanks Brad - loved the G&R comp, looking forward to checking this out also.
Great work as ever.

I only saw the two Adelaide shows on this tour but I've listened to all the boots countless times and I'd definitely agree it's one of the best (and possibly most underrated) run of shows the band's ever done. I'd rank it right up there with the 1995 and 1998 Australian tours, which are pretty much as good as Pearl Jam gets.
That first Adelaide show in 2006 is probably the best Pearl Jam show I'm ever going to see.

Our first show and the period it is in does tend to colour our view and shape our preference but they've never played a bad show in Oz and G&R was great so this will be fun

(Well, apart from the 1998 show with Jack.)
They've pretty much blown me away everytime ive seen them. When they do make the trip down this way, they are on fire

You're a lucky man Spencer, Adelaide I is definitely the highlight of that tour. The Newcastle show seems to get a lot of attention due to all the rarities and Mark Richards set, but the performance (and setlist) at that Adelaide show is simply flawless - especially amazing given Eddie was apparently sick that night.

One of my biggest music-related regrets (along with choosing to watch Foo Fighters over James Brown at Oxegen Festival '05 in Ireland a year before his death ) is getting properly into Pearl Jam just after the 1998 tour left these shores...

I have a similar musical regret, ridley. I was in the 8th grade in the fall of 1998, the perfect age for your first rock concert. I was JUST starting to really get into Pearl Jam. I had been listening to them for a year but instead of following tour schedules online I was still digesting all the albums. 9/16/98 is my all time favorite bootleg to listen to, and it took place 30 minutes from my house. On 9/17/98 my english teacher asked me, knowing how much I loved Pearl Jam, if I was at the show last night.

I feel bad for ridley, I haven't listened to this yet, I feel like I've been naughty about downloading it and having it just sit unopened on my desktop.

I have a similar regret about a Plain White T's concert that took place roughly fifteen minutes from where I attended college. Shit sorta stings you down in your soul, dunnit?
