Jeffrey Allen Ament (born March 10, 1963 in Havre, Montana) is an American musician who serves as the bassist for the American rock band Pearl Jam. Along with Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Eddie Vedder, he is one of the founding members of Pearl Jam. Ament is also known for his work prior to Pearl Jam with the 1980s Seattle, Washington-based grunge rock bands Green River and Mother Love Bone, and is particularly notable for his work with the fretless bass, upright bass and twelve-string bass guitar. Ament was also a member of the side project band Three Fish. In 2008, Ament released his first solo album, Tone.

I always think they are younger since I didn't follow anything they did before PJ so I assume they were young 20 year old rockers.

Blew my mind when i worked out they were all in thier late 20s rather than early 20s during Ten, what with all the funky clothes and hair and jumping round i always thought they were way younger. I also used to think Eddie was some huge dude, on account of his voice. lmao.
