pretty good stereotype with this thread though, given the odds of 100 other people starting this thread vs you

:)

I started following her on twitter after michael jackson died. Shed post these fairly amazin tweets everyday. She was quite a spiritual lady. Had a great outlook and worldview. Ive only ever seen Anthony and Cleopatra(man, check out the scene when she enters Rome..Hollywood doesnt do it like that anymore!) She has real onscreen presence and she holds your eye. And she was the very first celebrity to come to kick off the aids awareness thing. Shes raised millions for aids charities it seems. Fair play.

As to your allusion/kinda school yard joke, Nah I dont do the gay diva worship bit. Unless it Rufus Wainwright. It's all rather lost on me.

Shit I thought we all knew each other better than that now.

May she rest in peace all the same. Great lady.

Those fuckers....jesus

Westboro Baptists To Picket Elizabeth Taylor's Funeral

Westboro Baptist Church - the notorious anti-gay Christian fundamentalist organisation - have already announced plans to picket the funeral of the late Elizabeth Taylor.
Westboro Baptist Church - the notorious anti-gay Christian fundamentalist organisation - have already announced plans to picket the funeral of the late Elizabeth Taylor.
Taylor, who died yesterday, March 23, from congestive heart failure, was a prominent AIDS activist who established the American Foundation for AIDS Research in 1985.

Maggie Phelps, daughter of church leader Reverend Fred Phelps, Tweeted the protest plans along with hateful remarks targeting the iconic actress' work with the gay community.
"No RIP Elizabeth Taylor who spent her life in adultery and enabling proud f-gs. They cuss her in hell today. Westboro will picket funeral!"
In reaction to the Tweeting, GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) president Jarrett Barrios responded, "Fred Phelps and his vitriolic anti-gay followers are simply trying to exploit their so-called 'faith' by spreading messages of hate at a time when Americans are grieving the loss of an extraordinary woman, actress and advocate."

The Westboro congregation - protected under the United State's First Amendment right to free speech - have previously threatened the picketing of celebrity funerals such as Natasha Richardson and Heath Ledger, but did not actually attend either.
