Is this movie supposed to be good? It's getting solid reviews on Rotten Tomatoes:

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/lincoln_lawyer/

Quote:
Synopsis: Mickey Haller (Matthew McConaughey) is a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln sedan. Haller has spent most of his career defending garden-variety criminals, until he lands the case of his career: defending Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe), a Beverly Hills playboy accused of rape and attempted murder. But the seemingly straightforward case suddenly develops into a deadly game of survival for Haller. Based on the best-selling novel by Michael Connelly.

I avoid any movie that features Ryan Phillipe. For me, this is also true of Hilary Swank, but that's not applicable to this thread.

Connelly's written some pretty epic shit in his time. Like, maybe not Vince Flynn shit, but pretty awful.

I remember thoroughly enjoying the book until the ending, which I don't remember.

Watched it tonight. Not bad, moves slow early on but picks up in the second half. Gets a little too melodramatic for the last few scenes but worthwhile choice on a stay at home movie night.
