So lead singer from Deer Tick, Dawes, and Delta Spirit got together and made an album that came out earlier this month.

I've been listening to it and i'm pretty impressed so far with what i've heard. I always felt when in deer tick John Mccauley need a little more direction with his song writing and a little more talent around him and with these guys he gets both. Plus the contributions from the other songwriters are really good too.

It has that deer tick country folk/rock type sound. I think if you like deer tick you should check this album out.

i was able to do a run of shows with them across the midwest shooting photos & video a few weeks ago and it was one of the most fun experiences i've ever had.

i really hope they do another album and tour someday, even if they'll all be busy w/ their own new albums this year.

I've been playing this one a LOT over the last week or so. Great stuff.
