There's few movies I make an attempt to go see in the theaters... this will certainly be one of them!

The first one is amongst my all-time favorite comedies

And that would be a problem why? I don't think anyone goes to see a comedy movie for the plot line. If this is half as funny as the first one it'll be well worth it to me...

I kind of agree with this. There were a few laughs, but just because you put a bunch of actors in an outrageous situation, it doesn't automatically equal laughs.

Zach was good in the first one. Ken Jeong, too, and the wedding reception singer at the end. Aside from that it was pretty bland.

Okay well, I guess what I was saying was it didn't seem too encouraging that they were content to take seemingly such a lazy approach and more or less make the same movie just in a different location. Yea even if technically the jokes are mostly new, it still just smacks of complacency to me. But, I suppose that would at least put it above something like the first Austin Powers sequel, that even took the main 5 or 6 'jokes' of the original and basically did them all over again.

And, count me in the camp of those who weren't totally bowled over by the first Hangover. I liked it just fine, but lots of people seem to think it was like a top 3 comedy of the last decade.
