I dunno if anyone has heard much about this since it's literally in the process of filming, but has anyone heard anything about the film Conspirator? Robert redford is in the process of filming it in Savannah, Ga. The film is about the trial of Mary surratt and the plot to assasinate lincon. Though the film is set in DC, they chose to film down here since the historic districs of both cities are very similar, at least in their colonial nature. Anyway, iv had the fortune of seeing a lot of the people working on this movie around town and its quite a surreal experience. the crews use a lot of open space around the city as a backdrop. Hope the film turns out well.

Redford's a good director and that's a really good cast. I'll give this a shot, regardless of how ambivalent I was toward the trailer.

That looks like a trailer for a movie from the year 1990.

Maybe filiming it in Georgia is to remind us of the evils of the Northern War of Aggression, what with Sherman's march to the sea and all. Atlanta doesn't have many buildings from this era left, eh?

No but Savannah, for the most part (where the movie was filmed) does. the movie takes place in DC, and for the most part, alot of historical drama's of the colonial states are filmed in places like that (glory took place in boston, filmed in Savannah)

I saw this movie, it was ok, not amazing. Mackavoy did a great job overall. I really just wanted to see what they did after meeting alot of the cast and production crew. I had a buddy from college tell me he had a short five second appearance as an extra, but didn't catch it.

It was actually kind of funny watching that movie and being like 'oh I know the name of that house.
There is a huge ammount of spanish moss in the trees there, and the crew removed it for the shots, and put it back after they were done filming, I hope they wore heavy gloves...
