So I was trying to find MTV Unplugged on pearljambootlegs.org for my friend, and it had a few songs not on the main setlist.
Aside from the usual Oceans State of Love and Trust Even Flow Alive Jeremy Black Porch
It also has Once, Why Go, Wash (which was labelled as Garden), and Breath (which was labelled as "Please Don't Go"). They sounded largely acoustic other than Once and Breath, which sounded mostly acoustic other than the main riffs which were muted electric. I've never heard of these being part of their MTV Unplugged setlist... were they? It wouldn't surprise me, as it'd be weird for them to only have a 7-song set, but I've never heard of those songs being on the unplugged concert, ever.
Anyone?

First, I've got a question for you Tig. What is the deal with this beef you have with the guy that played Lem on The Shield? It's over a dog? What's the deal, and is he coming back next season?

I believe that was a bootleg - Black and White or something like that - it had MTV Unplugged and then live songs from other shows. I had it in college until some tool lost it. Anyhow - I do remember, been 18 years now, that it was a bootleg with extra material on it. Hope that helps.

Unplugged was not the only acoustic performance the band did during that era. They did a handful of short, in-store acoustic sets at various record stores in 1991 and 1992. The Tower Records in-stores from MD and NY in 1991 are examples and they also did one in France in 1992. I know the France set was recorded and tacked on to some bootlegs back then. Anyway, the "extra" songs you refer to in your post are not from the MTV date.
The complete MTV Unplugged recording is a follows:
Soundcheck Oceans State of Love and Trust Alive Black Jeremy Porch
Performance Oceans State of Love and Trust Alive Black Jeremy Porch Even Flow Rockin’ in the Free World

Lol leash.
When i downloaded the unplugged off wherever, it came with a version of garden. Doesn't sound unplugged though And eddie's voice makes me think it's from round 95. I'd love to hear garden acoustic though.

Damn, in all these years I have never known or even heard mention of them playing those last two songs. I thought for sure that the soudcheck/main set recording that went into circulation years back was 100% complete. I must say I'm extremely surprised to see that encore listed on the band's site.

Pete's right - pearljam.com is probably the last place I'd use as a reliable source for setlist information. It's just outdated crap copied off old fan sites.

Actually I totally agree. I feel the same way about some of the "official" lyrics that appear on that site as well. Can't believe I fell for that Unplugged "encore" nonsense. Should have known better.
