What am I wrong?
lets remake No Country For old men next. It could star Ashton kutcher as the sherrif & Justin beber as the killer...he already has the hair cut. after that would could remake Desperado with Taylor Laurent. then how about we have a do over on Fight Club with Justin Timberlake and michael cera. they could have the chick from glee with the giant snoz as Marla.
I can't be the only one sick of this.
by 2013 there will be remakes or reboots of spiderman, batman (WTF), commando, the lost boys, red dawn, the crow, they live, alien, robocop, total recall...........

I'm sick of reboots too, but some good can come out of them. The current Batman franchise is a reboot, and they're great movies. I don't disagree with your post, you just kind of come off as an angry 16 year old with Tourettes syndrome, hence the Jammer comparison.

There are the exceptions.
The new Batman series being a good example. Dawn of the dead cape fear Taken The departed
but I cant think of many others.

I don't have a problem with reboots, or with a little cheese in my film, but this preview was mostly a bunch of that monotonic pulse that's so big right now accompanying shots of too-young scientists saying silly things and CGI work that screams "Hey. Look at me. I'm CGI." Nothing to make me say "Wow, that will flat out suck," but nothing to make me go "Oh, hell yeah" either.

This isn't a remake or a reboot, though. It's a prequel. And while I'd love for Hollywood to take a chance on some new ideas, this could very well be good.
I don't really understand people who are so staunchly against remakes, reboots, sequels or prequels, as if their mere existence somehow diminishes or ruins the original movie or source material. Great movies will always be great, no matter how many directors try their hand at remaking them.

The Matrix sequels HURT the original 100% The T3 & T4 tarnished 1 & 2. Everything after the original Nightmare On Elm St. worked towards making Freddy a joke. Amity remake, omen remake, shining remake, last house on the left... they were all so bad they soiled the franchise.
I 100% believe too much overexposure hurts all the connected properties.
