back in 2000 it was my first time voting and it just seemed like something to do, i wasnt excited, and i dont think i really wanted to vote, because it meant i had to find the time to get there, wich ended up being before work so it was early, and i wasnt happy about that ether. but this year im 4 years older and ive done alot of research on the candidates and im excited, im looking forward to getting there early and casting my vote, i feel like i can make a difference, i feel like i have a say. it just feels different this time around, most likely because im older, but im very excited

Looking forward to the count, recount(s), and ensuing legal actions taken by both sides...
One thing that really bothers me about this election so far is the same shit from last election. Four years to fix the problems of 2000, maybe it was a priority specifically to not fix them in key states...FLORIDA...That should have been top of the list, fix the debacle of 2000. But I guess since it ended up favoring the guy who can benefit once again from such incompitence, we won't leave anything up to chance...

just out of curioustiy ... how do you know voting irregularities can only help Bush?
And if it does, maybe it will cancel out all the dead people who voted for Gore in Ohio in 2000 ....

Apprehensive is a better word for my feeling. I do want Kerry to win, but for whoever wins, I want it to be a clean and obvious victory, with no doubt, unlike the 2000 election.
i'm excited to vote because it's the first time i get to vote for president. but, like IEB! said, post-election day is another story.

I love the elections and politics. Usually, I'm at the polling place the first hour. This year though, I have classes in the morning, but I'll be heading right over to vote after school. I've asked for the day off, and I'll be coming home to watch the returns all evening. Maybe even discussing it with you fine folks!
But I agree with IEB that the post-election is probably going to be a nightmare!

I've been looking forward to the actual ACT of voting (against Bush) since the recounts ended. I'm scared as shit of the outcome. And you know the networks are drooling over the possibilty of voting problems and recounts. Imagine the ratings!!! Ugh. I have a feeling it will be more like election week. Or month.
As long as Kerry wins. I'll be worth it.
