There was a little discussion of this in the moderator forum. I think it would improve organization a little to have all the solo and side projects in one place. It will also solve the question of "why is Eddie in the Pearl Jam Forum, but everyone else has to be in Other Bands."
Interest leans on the side of creating it, but I have no interest in creating a forum and moving stuff into it, only to have everyone on the board cry like babies.
Here your chance. Cry like babies, or celebrate the idea.

This should in no way come before the hall of fame forum.
Start a thread in GD and let's talk.

Would there be a need for a subforum within the Side Project subforum for live talk? I mean having a thread for every Eddie Vedder solo show per tour, which is desirable, will flood the forum.

Other Band, since it came first.
But, with that logic, Green River is an OB too.
Yes, and McCready's Shadow stuff as well.
Soundgarden were very successful off their own bat before Matt joined PJ, so I guess that might have to be the deciding factor. I mean, if Ringo Starr joined Pearl Jam upon Matt's untimely death, we'd probably leave Beatles threads in OB.

Agreed.

Eh, a side project side forum seems a bit much. It would be like the tour forum which was only active during a tour, this would only be active when there was some side project stuff going on, and really only Eddie's shit will get that much discussion.

I'd put Soundgarden in the subforum. Any band with a Pearl Jam member in it.

I vote no. Total overkill. And Soundgarden as a PJ side project band???

Especially now b/c Chris and Kim have even admitted that Matt is Pearl Jam's drummer first and their drummer second.
But I would also throw in Green River or other pre-Pearl Jam bands.
