my computer's display of font on various websites changed recently and i'm not sure why. it is as if serifs have been eliminated from all text and there are wider spaces between letters. everything looks off. further, the bolded words seem thicker. it looks like my browser--internet explorer, considering this is my work computer and usage of other browsers are forbidden--is slowly transforming everything to comic sans.

what is happening?
did you just recently have a window's update, friend? i had one late last week that crashed my whole setup. i was forced to wipe out my whole comp and reboot everything from the beginning. once i was back up i noticed that websites that i'm very familiar with looked a bit different- including slight changes in fonts.

No lie this recently happened to me. I accidentally zoomed in by scrolling on the mouse and pressing CTRL at the same time. I had no idea one could do that.
