Has this guy ever been in a band that wasn't a covers band?

Kinda cool.

I like his version of Not Like to Tonight. Will be most curious to hear the Nirvana song.

Considering how horrible his cover of "Fame" was, I think I'll pass.

For a dude with a major drug problem he sure has put out a lot of music over the years:

6 STP albums
2 Velvet Revolver albums
3 solo albums (one of them a double album)

I'll pass on the covers album though.

Out of the big "grunge" bands STP has aged the worst.

this wasn't bad even though it wasn't a cover:

i'm surprised there isn't a Doors song on that list...

Even tough i done care much about this one, i feel Stp has Been doing great tours over this last years...saw them 2 times and last year they were amazing, specially scott.
His last solo álbum was good too, some of the songs were so , so good...
I feel its ok to say that he his finished but he has been really consistent over the last decade.
Hope stp récord new Music Soon.

first, i love weiland. i think he's a great showman and talented singer and songwriter. i liked stp's last record more than tiny music or shangri-la.
his cover of reel around the fountain is nice. stp did jean genie on their tour, and it was good too. my only complaint about this album is we've heard a lot of it already.
i really hope he releases his xmas album this holiday too. he's got a great voice for the classics.
has anyone read his book yet?
