My common sense tells me that paying $175 for tickets + hotel + train + taxis isn't the best way to spend my hard-earned cash to see them make half-assed attempts at Even Flow and Amongst the Waves.

In a world where you had the money available, would you go over to the USA/Canada to watch them after they've been in Europe in 06, 07, 09 & 10?
I mean, I would love to do Canada (and especially the 9/11 date exactly 6 years after my first show in the same country), but I'm not even contemplating it. And this has nothing to do with my thoughts on the last couple of albums. Just that it's just too damn expensive and not worth it after having seen them in good old Europe 9 times the last 5 years without going further than 1.000km from my place.

After the awful Spectrum shows, I vowed never to pay for a PJ ticket again. I'd rather spend my money on a band that rehearses and cares about putting on a good show.

Well, the first time I saw them was 07. So yes, of course. Other than that, it's a stupid question to ask considering how much they play the USA. (And you've just admitted that you trecked to see them 9 times in the last 5 years.)

But that's my point. Why would you blow an awful lot of money now when you had so many opportunities the last couple of years and will probably again in the near future (they've clearly rediscovered the sweet smell of festival wages)
But hey, don't get me wrong, I would totally advise anyone to go to Canada. Being 21 years old, I spent a lot of my college savings on that trip in 05, but looking back it was worth every single bit and more.

I can't really ruff it at festivals for disability reasons; just not practical. So unless I see them in an arena, I'm limited. That means that if I had the money (and time which I didn't have to commit to family) I'd travel.

You would think stip would make you an honorary mod for at least a few days while he is on paternity leave.
