i was barely aware PJ existed until some time after Vitalogy (so around '95-ish?), but it was Ten that got me hooked. I picked up No Code next, and though it was very different i liked it, too. Went back and picked up Vs and Vitalogy, and liked them too, but it was a long time before i truly got them. I barely had any time to listen to anything else when i discovered Ten.

The first album I owned by them was Vs. back in 2000, but they probably didn't become my favorite band until I got No Code in 2003.

Vs. when it came out. i was aware of Alive when its video aired on Musique+ but i wasn't too crazy about it then. sometime afterwards i heard Crazy Mary on the radio and was blown away by the spooky vibe it had. Daughter became a radio staple soon after and i got to get into PJ mostly because of the raw yet full sound they had. Vitalogy sealed the deal because it had all the elements i was looking for in a band: variety in songwriting, great musicianship without a show-off attitude, passionate performances, some sense of self-mythology in the lyrics and a band that stood up for what it believed in.

Ten. 1992. But I wasn't convinced (not completely) until Vs came out. I had a cassett version of Ten. I didn't buy a CD version until Vitalogy came out.

I have since purchased (besides the cassette and the initial cd copy) 5 CD and 3 vinyl copies of Ten. And those are just for myself. If you count gifts, I've purchased double that in the CD format; 1 additional vinyl.

Binaural got me interested and Yield took things a step further. By the time TB2K came out, it was full steam ahead.
