Soon we'll have one party/ideology controlling all three branches of the federal government. Won't that be fabulous!

Some legal analysts reject this view, saying it undermines the credibility of the judiciary. "I think it is a mistake to pay too much attention to the political party of the appointing president because that helps create a false impression in the public's mind that judges are and should be political actors," says James Swanson, a senior legal scholar at the Heritage Foundation in Washington.

You fucking hypocritical bastard! The Heritage Foundation? Sure, judges are independent non-political actors when YOUR president is appointing them.

You butt-fuck.

The unenhanced images are so much more convincing.

Just for the record, I would.

At a time like this I think it warrants mentioning that the two major political parties in this country are known as the Republicans and the Democrats, not the Conservatives and The Liberals. You guys realize that there are such things as conservative democrats right? Say, Clinton for example. So if there were a democratic majority in any given branch of govt. there would by no means by some sort of default be nothing but liberal agenda being put forth. Somebody explain to me the crazy liberal wackiness that took place during Clinton's 8 yrs in office and maybe I'll buy your arguement. Was it the fiscal responsibility that lead to a budget surplus? The reasonable and diplomatic approach to foreign relations? The large gains in the economy? What kind of liberal craziness is there that you speak of? Of course he did get a blow job so....

I'd be scared, but not nearly AS scared.

For some people it's only problematic when they disagree with them.

Wait. So it's only problematic when you disagree with them?

Read again.

I'm still trying to figure out the whole "conservative activist judge." What an oxymoron.

Maybe you haven't noticed the growing number of conservative activists in America, like the ones standing outside Terri Schiavo's hospice yelling and holding a bunch of goofy signs. Religion can be more of a catalyst than almost anything else. I fail to see the oxymoron in 'conservative activist judges'.
