I've always wanted them to do that cover so bad.

Do you think if I wrote them a really nice letter they would do this for me for my birthday next year?

Just ask Tim about it on PJ Radio. Seriously though, DBTR always tops my list of covers I wish they would do. After that would be LA Woman, Gimme Shelter, Synchronicity II, A Day In The Life, a few others.

Maybe they should do a "Covers Unplugged."

I'd love to hear DBTR, LA Woman and Gimme Shelter for sure. I'd also love to hear a Tom Waits cover. Something other than Picture In A Frame. Something heavier. Not exactly sure what...

The song from The Wire is the only Tom Waits song I know.

I don't know what song that is. I mean, I've not watched The Wire. I don't know what song they used.

Down In A Hole is the song that plays over the opening credits. I think only one season used the actual Waits version and every other season was a cover of the song.

Edit: The song title may be Way Down In The Hole or something like that.

There's one part Nusrat sings that sounds like (if it were English) "Is the booty yummy?"

Smile and Better Days would be cool, but I have ALWAYS wanted to hear an all-acoustic version of Red Mosquito. I hate the Bridge version of Corduroy, with the different lyrics and the whole tribal drum thing. If they did Corduroy acoustic, straight up, it'd be cool. They did Off He Goes acousticly at Benaroya, it was cool but not entirely different from any other live version. Ledbetter at Benaroya was great, but they plugged Mike in for the ending solo, so not sure. Slow Lukin sucks.
As far as a closing cover, if they did All Along the Watchtower, but the way Dylan used to do it solo, acoustic with harmnonica, holy shit. Do it Eddie.

Pearl Jam is really good acoustic, I wish they'd do more of it. They dont very often, but every time they do it's excellent.

I agree, mick. I still contend that the first dics of Benaroya is one of PJs best albums.
