I get Raff a little bit. I see people on Twitter saying things like "So sad, he had such a promising career ahead of him." No, he didn't, unless there's a burgeoning cars-in-rectums market he was about to tap, and postmortem denial of flaws is annoying (though I'm somewhat counting on it). But it's still sad. It might be sad in slightly different ways, like, it's sad that there's a culture of destructive drinking in America that took him as victim, it's sad that his passenger died, it's sad because it's a human being with relationships to other human beings. Doesn't make it any less sad. We're talking about a mostly harmless idiot here, not, say, Gaddafi or Glenn Beck.

Say what you will about the man but this is just mean. He had family and friends, of course it's sad news.
Such sadness as the demise of this guy will generate among his legions of fans will be easily outweighed by the benefit to the world at large of having one less stupid person on the planet.
I, for one, am a happy camper.
Anger is one thing, stupidity is another.
Admit it, if you could, you would do away with everyone you think is stupid. Their families too, at the same time, so as to minimize the sadness involved. Everyone wins.

When I read the headline "Jackass star dies" I immediately thought Steve-O. Or Johnny.
I just hope he died on impact and didn't experience what came after. Terrible way to go, but it looks like he was drunk and speeding. I haven't seen the 3rd Jackass, but what was his best bit? Is it really the toy car thing?

Reports are one died in the fire, one instantly. No idea who's who, but it's still really really sad. He had a lot of connections at our stations. I think I only met him like once in passing, but have friends who knew him well, and no one ever had anything bad to say about the guy. Very quiet and sweet, really. From the pic posted prior, it's easy to jump to the 'drunk driving' conclusion - but no one really knows. I know plenty of people that go out, have 1 or 2 and stop at midnight so that they're fine to drive home at 2 when our bars close. It's sad that one bad decision can be so catastrophic.

I really don't get why all of you are so sensitive about this. I expect the guy's family and friends to be sad, sure, but I don't understand why anyone else would give a flying fuck, much less be sad, about this dumbass passing away.
