Apparently my upcoming baby means I have lose to the coupe. Anyone bought a family car recently? I was looking at a Murano, but I am not a big fan of SUVs.

Funny how americans consider a baby a good justification to buy a car that can fit a basketball team.

Even a sub-compact is tight for 3 adults in the backseat, but a baby and his/her bag of stuffs is much smaller than even 2 adults.

lol@.

In america we use car seats. those car seats, even in a decent size vehicle require the front seats be pushed up when set up rear facing. That doesn't work in a sub compact.

What do you think the all time record of internet forum posts for an English speaking non-American is before they post one of those "Why do Americans _________ when they could easily ________. They are so ignorant!" comments? Like 6? 7? Enough troll feeding.

Back to the topic at hand..

Everyone must agree with everything and if they don't, they're clearly trolling.

Really guys, a Civic isn't a small car. When someone says that, sounds like some fat woman calling a 200lbs guy skinny.

YOU DON'T HAVE CHILDREN, THEREFORE YOUR OPINION ABOUT CARS IS WRONG.

Its more about comfortably fitting two people in the front seats and a baby in the back seat than the vehicle being big or small.

I have a child and we had a pretty small hatchback car when she was born, it was fine. We had a babyseat rear-facing in a Holden Barina (in the middle) which was a little squishy but no big deal.

When my son was born we had a Toyota Corolla Hatch, similar to spenno's Barina, and had the same set-up. I'm 6'4" and had no major dramas with it (although that Corolla did have pretty good leg room).

I bet my Corolla would have kicked spenno's Barina's arse off the lights though...
