Original Thread Title: Not even Pixar is perfect.

So, even those guys can fail. Cars 2 is being reported as quite meh and is currently 40% in RT.

The first Cars that already wasn't that great managed a 74%. The fact is that Pixar got greedy, because Cars made them so much money in the form of merchandise thanks to brats convicing their parents to buy a lunchpack with that rad red car on it.

I wonder if this will feature Ryan Dunn's trademark slapping-my-knee-in-hilarity brand of automobile comedy.

Hate to break this to you Bateman, but Ryan Dunn has been an official RM schtick going on 48 hours now. I'm hardly the only one doing this, but I always welcome the attention granted to me by, well... you.

Did anybody really believe Cars 2 was meant to do anything besides sell boatloads of merchandise? If it gives them the capital to take on more original projects in the future than i'll accept it.

God forbid something happens to Owen Wilson right before opening night of Cars 2.

I think Cars and A Bug's Life are the only Pixar features i've yet to see.

Exactly, plus who cares how good it is, kids love it. If you want to watch a "real" pixar movie you can put on one the other 10 great ones. You're certainly not going to put on Cars.

Seriously though, I put the Cars DVD on, and my 2 year old goes into zombie mode, literally. Sits in front of the TV, eyes wide open, drool running down his face. Looks like he just had a lobotomy.
