here's a thread for us to share the various songs featured on our subconscious playlist while at work (or anywhere where we can't listen to music really). i encourage you guys to tell us about why those songs popped up in your head, some sort of back story, especially about the really obscure and ridiculous ones. thanks!
i gotta admit that i heard this song more than any human should/could. back when i was a teenager, my mother's boyfriend bought an Alys Roby album with that song on it and used to crank it up on repeat on weekend mornings just to piss me off (because i slept late). fortunately, i forgot about that sad chapter of my life as i grew older but a few weeks ago, Alys died and i heard that song on the radio again and listened to it with my girlfriend and kids just to see how horrendous this song is.
the worst (or funniest) thing about this song is that it's called "Let me sing again" while all you think while it plays is SHUT THE FUCK UP!!

had this song too yesterday:
in fact i'm most familiar with the live version. as cheesy as it sounds, i quite like it. the bass is killer on this one but it's still not a song one like to have in his head for too long.

well, if you're not allowed to listen to music while at work, you probably end up with songs playing in your head and it's likely that there'll be a few very bad/weird songs among them. it's those songs that i want you to list in here. thanks dude.
Oh, I get it now. I originally thought it was about songs that other people play at the workplace and you unwillingly have to listen to.
Anyways, I don't suffer from this condition. I usually end up replaying in my head whatever it was I was listening to on my ipod on the commute to work. I don't listen to music at work anymore because I have to be accessible to coworkers calling out for help or requests or whatever.
