Changed the subject to be more precise; I think it's time to get some Soul, R&B and Funk on this forum. When I browse Other Music it's mostly composed of threads about white male groups playing rock (generalization - maybe).
Back in the day Rock and Soul lived side by side; back in the 60's rock bands played Soul and vice versa e.g. Rolling Stones - Ike & Tina Turner - Otis Redding. Now the only Soul one can find here is Soul Asylum or Mr. Soul.
I think it is time to give some appreciation to this forgotten and underrated musical gem. No need for an in depth analyze if you don't want to, just post some of your favorite Soul, R&B, Funk songs. Lets see if there's any groove in you, or are you just a bunch of angry white kids
I've been diggin' some Lupe Fiasco lately. Does that count?
