with the royals having trouble lately i can't help but think about the 20th anniversary of the 85 series win,and the main player behind the teams 70's and 80's success,George Brett.a true class act,3000 hits 300 homers, and the man won a batting title in three diffrent decades!

As a Yankee fan from back in the late 70's early 80's, I loved to hate George Brett, but he was a damned fine ball player, and seemingly an OK guy as well. Respek.

He owned the Yanks back then The look on his face when he came flying out of the dugout in the pine tar game is priceless.
