Okay, I was at the shows and have no idea what all of the references to "Gary" are about. Who is he and why is he the butt of all jokes?
he streamed the concert to justin.tv through his android phone, which all of us that couldn't go are thankful for... however, he also sang at the top of his lungs for most of the songs and then complained about chris cornell singing too much.
He put up a post he'd stream both PJ sets, but his battery died less than an hour into night 1. He had pavilion seats so the sound was wildly distorted going through his phone, choppy, and you couldn't make out anything specifically on the stage. But, you could listen and make out the songs and some of what Ed was saying. Night 2, he was on the lawn with a full battery so we all heard the entire show. Being further away, the music was more comprehensible, but as the set progressed the more he let it rip, singing along with the anthems. So we all sort of heard Pearl Jam, with him prominently singing along on most of the songs. And he'd complain about various things like Cornell, Public Image, and Matt Cameron in between songs. Everyone's grateful for his efforts, but it was like listening to an audience bootleg where someone right next to the tape never shuts up.

I still can't get over how good In the Moonlight sounded (on youtube). Hopefully they keep it in the rotation. Although it won't sound as good without Josh Homme's falsetto.

A bit late to the party, but that was a special weekend for me. Hearing "Stardog Champion" live was unreal; it was my personal highlight, ahead of Temple of the Dog and "Release." Also, I can't believe I got to see Temple of the Dog! Or hear "All Night Thing"! Going to PJ20 was a last-minute decision which involved, among other things, taking the redeye from Calgary to Toronto on Friday, then connecting on to Milwaukee and driving more-or-less right to Alpine Valley; at one point I was awake for forty-one consecutive hours. And it was absolutely the right decision. Can't wait for the five Canadian shows to follow!

Finally home.
Stardog Champion. Yum The improv/new song. The highlight. The lantern balloon that took off from the Stone lawn during night 2 Nothingman - the other highlight The lantern balloon that took off from the Mike lawn, a bunch of songs after Nothingman. Not such a highlight. Not when it nearly set the roof on fire and nearly took out a bunch of punters when it spiralled down.
