Any suggestions? I've just realized I don't have any of these... altought I'm pretty sure I've listened to Milan, Seattle 2 and Jones Beach 2... I think...
These were the best year of the official boots by far.
I just don't understand you guys. All of you bitch and moan about mixes and levels on every tour but this one. And it's the absolute worst as far as any bass is concerned. The European leg has all but deleted Jeff ( with very little low end on Matt's kit, I might add) and the US shows are only marginally better. I don't care what any of you say, if you have to have subs and add all kinds of equalization to a recording to bring one of the instruments of the rythym section up enough to even tell that it's there, then that's a poorly mixed job. Yes, the guitars sound ok, Ed's voice still had its edge, the performances were kick-ass, but there's just no bass. Period.
If Jeff was up in the mix, I could agree with you, no doubt about it, but he simply ain't there.

I might recommend St Louis as a very solid show.
I have that one...it's great.
Cippociappo, St. Louis has the GTF from TB2K, and it's also the only show of the tour missing Corduroy. I'm partial to some of the Euro ones, and I'm a big fan of Milan, Verona, Katowice 2, and even San Sebastian (lots of mess ups on that one).

Saratoga
This. There are other shows that are objectively better (longer, more "important", slightly better setlist) but if you are just looking for one you cannot beat Saratoga. Best versions of "Spin The Black Circle" and "RVM" I've ever heard.
Pearl Jam shows: Champaign 4/23/2003 Chicago 6/18/2003 St. Louis 10/05/2004 Portland 7/20/2006 Gorge 7/22/2006 Ridgefield 9/26/2009 Philadelphia 10/31/2009

If you listen to the entire tour, you will find that the European shows are a bit rusty and the volume levels are really low.
Then US Leg 1 they were on fire - I don't think there's a bad show in the entire leg. The audio mix is PERFECT.
Then US Leg 2 they started to wind down. Sometimes there the are audio problems with Eddie's vocals being too low.
I highly recommend SARATOGA and PITTSBURGH from US Leg 1 - two of the tightest & most energetic PJ shows of all time - with a perfect audio mix that makes today's bootlegs sound like garbage.

Poland 2 Prague Milan Norway Berlin West Palm 1 Seattle 2 Memphis New Orleans East Troy Detroit - (debut full band Parting Ways) Toronto Jones Beach II, III Boston
there's like 50 very good shows.
