I think with the release of the PJ20 documentary and its corresponding soundtrack, we're just about wrapping up all the scheduled PJ20 celebrations (apart from the ongoing tour).

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the following?

PJ20 Destination Weekend= ?
PJ20 Documentary Film= ?
PJ20 Film Soundtrack= ?
PJ20 Book= ?

(Am I missing anything?)

I won't be rating this because I've only participated in two of the four things you've listed, but I think I'd add a category along the lines of like, "Various Releases (remasters, solo albums, live albums, etc)" And maybe the Pearl Jam museum as a separate category?

Quick Strat response without anymore contemplation

PJ20 Destination Weekend= 8 (was perfect for what it was, not the best shows but the perfect celebration)
PJ20 Documentary Film= 8
PJ20 Film Soundtrack= 3
PJ20 Book= 6

To be honest, receiving the Pre-2000 Soundboard Collection in the mail from a very generous RMer at the tail end of 2010 unintentionally became the highlight of the 20 year celebration for me.

Timing could not have been better. Got me back into the band in a big way, though the seeds were replanted with Backspacer.

So far the 20 year stuff has been pretty cool, but the best Pearl Jam related thing to come out in the last year is by far Ukulele Songs.

Olé and Vault #1 are by far the most exciting things the band has done recently for me.

The film was okay, I didn't go any shows and my pre-order of the book hasn't arrived yet. I forget Ukulele Songs came out at all sometimes, I still don't own it.

it's beena good year to be a fan.

PJ20 Destination Weekend= 10
they really did it right. maybe my expectations were low given the 10c management can't seem to have things go smoothly, but this weekend really did go extremely well. i do hope they do another one.

PJ20 Documentary Film= haven't seen it yet.
PJ20 Film Soundtrack= 5. some cool things, but hardly essential.
PJ20 Book= not finished yet, but 7 so far.

i'm not sure i'll listen to ukulele songs much if at all, but the hardbound book was really cool. the art/packaging was far more interesting than the material, imo. vs/vitalogy reissues were fine but nothing special. the sde edition, like ten, had some great things though. looking forward to the next ones. i like ole enough and releasing it as a surprise and free was cool. they were great on fallon.

I'm just the opposite on Uke Songs. I think it's the best PJ related thing to come along since Riot Act, I still love it and listen to it all the time.

i was pretty sour on all the pre-PJfest stuff . LOXL, the eddie solo stuff, and the reissues didnt do much for me. but the tour sounds like its been great, and the movie and book too. the soundtrack is ok i guess. all in all i'd say its been a success though.

this year had the uke record, live on ten legs, the vs./vitalogy box set, a tour, the festival, the movie, the book, a new single

That's a pretty good year for not producing a record. I have been extremely satisfied

I appreciate the music and re-relases they've put out but I feel they're quickly moving into the money grab category. $70 for the deluxe blu-ray is greedy imo.

yeah but the regular DVD is 15 bucks. It's never bothered me that much how much the charge for the bonus/collectible stuff as long as the entry price is pretty reasonable.

although i did gawk at the 70 dollar tag before I bought ti
