I've noticed that sometimes when I edit a thread it automatically tells people that I did it. Sometimes it doesn't do that. How's that work?

I believe if nobody has looked at the thread yet didn't it won't say anything. But if someone HAS looked at it the message appears so that it will let you know the post was edited.

But I could be wrong.
That can't be right. In the time it takes me to return to the forum, there are always a couple of views. If that were true, it would always appear.
