I have a toilet seat that falls down after a few minutes of being propped up. The first time I went to bed for the night here, I was awoken by a slam from the bathroom. At first I didn't know what it was, but I didn't feel like checking. I just layed there, paralyzed with fear, waiting for another sound. In the same way that a movie that doesn't show the killer or the violence is always more scary than the ones that show it, I nearly died of fright waiting for another sound from the bathroom.

The next morning I checked it out and sure enough the seat was down, but I wasn't 100% sure that I hadn't left it down the night before. It wasn't until weeks (and several boxes of tylenol PM) later that I realized what was going on.

SO, what sort of little quirks are wrong with your apartment/house/condo/whatnot?

My closet door is busted and I'm convinced my Grandma played some part in the busting.

Also, the frame is a bit slanted in this apartment. I'm not joking or trying to post things for the sake of a good thread. It's the god's honest truth.

My kitchen slants every-so-slightly towards one wall. It's completely unnoticeable with the naked eye, but when you try to coat a pan with oil on the stove, all of it pools on one side of the pan and it is a fucking hassle. #firstworldproblems

Is that closet door busted in half or just sort of off it's hinge?

My old stove was like that. It was hell when trying to cook an omelet.

My entire basement suite is unlevel and infested with spiders of the non-venomous variety.

No shtick, my closet door is broken and I think my Grandmother had something to do with it. She's not sinister or anything. But when I returned to the apartment, there were three Glad containers of iced carrot cake, a broken door and not a Grandmother in sight.

I read your first post on this topic as "grandpa". Knowing that it's your grandmother really puts both of these posts in perspective.

Off its hinge. I actually looked at it again, and I can see a piece of metal that's come unfixed. So I'm feeling better since I can see what's specifically broken.
