Can't say i disagree with you but Frank McCourt's proposal had an inordinant amount of deferred money. Basically he's wants to say to Dodger fans, "hey, we tried." but in actuality, he really didn't.

"Manny is being Manny."
Isn't that how they say it?

Manny, Dodgers agree
After months of denying offers from the L.A. Dodgers, Manny Ramirez has agreed to a two-year, $45 million deal according to Enrique Rojas of ESPNdeportes.com.
Just last week, agent Scott Boras declined the Dodgers' fourth offer to the star right-handed slugger -- a one-year, $25 million contract with a $20 million player option for 2010.
Despite playing just 53 games for the Dodgers in 2008, Ramirez finished fourth in NL MVP voting after smashing 17 home runs and driving in 53 RBIs. The left fielder posted a .396 batting average to go with a .743 slugging percentage.
Manny has 527 home runs, 1,725 RBIs, 2,392 hits and 1,444 runs in 16 major league seasons with the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox and L.A. Dodgers. Published Tuesday, March 03, 2009 8:14 PM by John Beattie

well, i actually think CC's career is basically over. no pitcher in the history of baseball at any level ever handled the load he has. his arm is probably completely shot. i bet he pitches a year in new york then retires, unless he learns how to throw a knuckleball or something. i'd bet he doesn't even hit 90 on the gun this year, considering his arm is shot, and plus, all the pressure of the new york media. all those reporters, all those headlines, i bet it tires him out even more.
exactly how i feel about him
plus, he's so fat, i bet by 2010 he's on maury povich telling his story about having to be lifted by crane out of his home. he'll die before the contract is up and his family will sue the yankees for the rest of his money, which they will then donate to krispy kreme.
