I genuinely love this profession. Routine commutes around the city wouldn't be the same without them. Any music that I have playing in my car goes with their spirited movements, which takes this whole phenomenon to a different level entirely. If I have a a track from Odelay playing, the silliness of the music and the silliness of the dancing complement each other. If I have a more serious/melancholy thing on like, say, Elliott Smith, these street performers serve to undercut or juxtapose what's going on in the music. Much love for these guys/girls. If you think anyone could do this (as those douche bags at the end of that clip clearly do), you're wrong.

there's a guy who's frequently seen spinning signs at various locations throughout my city. the text on the signs display some pointed insight into human morality and some rather specific predictions regarding the earth's lifecycle.

These people could easily take their talents to the #OWS protests. I admire their service and commitment to the private sector.
