Tracklist:

All Night [Fallon 9/8/11]
Olé [itunes Single]
Tremor Christ [Self Pollution Radio]
Light Years [Binaural Demo]
Not For You [Self Pollution Radio]
In Hiding [Monkey Wrench Radio]
Love Boat Captain [Chop Suey]
Insignificance [Binaural Demo]
Pilate [Monkey Wrench Radio]
Satan's Bed [Self Pollution Radio]
Corduroy [Self Pollution Radio]
Wishlist [Six Audio Theories]
Do The Evolution [Six Audio Theories]
I Am Mine [Chop Suey]
Given To Fly [Six Audio Theories]
Immortality [Self Pollution Radio]
Nothingman [Monkey Wrench Radio]

This project started last night as I was going through some of my Soundboard tracks that didn't have a home. I've pulled from Monkey Wrench Radio, Self Pollution Radio, Chop Suey, Six Audio Theories, The Binaural Previews, and some of the recent stuff from the last few weeks. My initial goal here was to provide a nice compilation of songs that Olé could sit comfortably besides, and I think this way it works. The rawness and looseness of a lot of these performances have a little bit in common with Olé .

Most of this is in Flac, except for Olé and the two Binaural preview tracks. I hope that's not a problem for anyone.

Sounds like some outtakes or versions from Single Video Theory. I haven't seen that film in ages, though, so I could be wrong. "Six Audio Theories" is how it is labeled on the pre2k soundboard collection.

The voice-over intro could possibly turn some people off, but I love it. It adds to the ramshackle approach I was going for with this mix.

No problem at all. I enjoyed doing it. This is my first mix, so it's as much of an experiment/exercise as it is a gift to the board.

Was it you that recommended that version to me in the "songs that sound better in the studio" thread?

Lots of volume swings on this goddamn. Hopefully this does not cause any accidents on my commute to and from work.

The cd copy I'm listening to on my stereo now sounds fine, but that's after the .wav conversion and burned from itunes.

I'm guessing that since I previewed this thing a few times in itunes after converting a copy for myself, the volume got adjusted for each song (which my itunes automatically does). After I was happy with the tracklist, I made a folder with the original flac files and zipped before I uploaded.

Fellow mix-makers, how does one combat this problem?

Audacity should be able to do it fine.
