that V script looks kind of old timey to me. i think prohibition-era Chicago would make for a cool GTA setting, but i suspect the vehicle selection would be pretty boring. that would be my wild guess. My safer guess would be revisiting San Andreas.

I bought IV way too late and it's the first game that is simply too outdated for me to enjoy.
I never finished IV but I just started Red Dead Redemption a month ago and am blown the fuck away by it. I was planning on jumping back into GTA once I finish RDR, I hope I don't find it too dated when I do.

From Gamepro.com
"Prepare to have your mind blown. Grand Theft Auto V actually gives away its setting in the logo, with the "V" symbol. It's modeled to look like a logo on a United States dollar bill. Moreover, look at the meaning of the "V" -- it's a direct reference to the Five-Dollar Bill, which used to use a Roman numeral before switching to the standard "5" in the 1920s. So, who's the U.S. President on that bill? Abraham Lincoln, whose most famous memorial stands at Washington D.C. -- the same city where U.S. currency is printed, at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. It all makes sense. Everything points to Washington D.C."

Yeah, but I think that the DC thing is a bit of a stretch. How would Rockstar recreate Washington without it being the real thing? And the idea of running amok with a rocket launcher in Washington would be pretty risqué, even for the GTA series.
