Lovable comedic genius and Charlie Sheen roaster Patrice O'Neal has suffered a stroke.
The sad news was announced this morning by fellow comic Jim Norton on the Opie and Anthony Show. The worst part? Norton doesn't know if O'Neal is going to fully recover.
"We don't know how he is. We don't know how he's going to be," said Norton. "I didn't want to do this by myself. I wish we had more news for you." Norton added that he made the announcement on air because "we wanted it to come from us." A statement was also posted on Opie and Anthony's Facebook page, which allows fans to send the comic well wishes.
"Our close friend Patrice O'Neal suffered a stroke last week," the statement reads. "Please respect his family and their request for privacy. An email has been set up for fans to send him well wishes and his family will make sure he gets them. You can write to LoveForPatrice@gmail.com. When we have an update on his condition, we will let you all know."

I saw him perform in NYC in 2004 or 2005 at my (then) local comedy club. He was not famous then and was absolutely hilarious. Most of the show was improv with the crowd. He was the last performer and probably stayed on stage for an hour. I was really sad to see this news as I was looking forward to seeing him again one day.

That really sucks. I loved him on I love the 80's and 90's series, but haven't seen too much of his other work, yet.

That I would love to hear. When I hear Jimmy say that "we just don't know" I have think that it's really bad and they don't want to say any more about it. This is really sad stuff ... Patrice has the most infectious laugh I've ever heard.

He was on O&A, and a caller said something about low self-esteem causing him misery in his relationship , to which Patrice replied,
"When your in a relationship you have to ask yourself two questions. First, if she left what would you really miss, and two when you tell her how it is, where will she go. Because she can't get another you, you can get another one of her eaaaaaaassssssssy."
Fat motherfucker should have buckled and went on 'Celebrity Fit Club', when they offered it to him.
