No one is talking about this? I just found out advance screenings started last night, more today, formally opens on Thursday.

This better be good, or I'm going to kick Spielberg where the sun doesn't shine.

I liked Close Encounters, ET, The Colour Purple, and Schindler's List. The rest? Don't mind if I never saw them again.

Jackson? I slept through at least 6 of those 9 hours.

Love Steven Moffat's work though, and the others are basically the Pegg/Frost crew. Therein lies my cautious optimism.

Love Spielberg. Although Amistad I finally realized was crap.

Will be seeing this and War Horse come December.

Herge was wrong. Spielberg isn't the one director who'd be able to do justice to his work.

This should've been Miyazaki's project.

I DL'd a surprisingly good looking bootleg. This thing is great, you can easily see what attracted Spielberg. It's got an old school, Indiana Jones kind of adventure feel to it. Though I guess the original books came even before Raiders, so...

dude, I didn't know exactly when they came out. But I thought it was a good chance it was before the 80's, which is what I said.

dood, i wasn't saying you were wrong either. it's just that by saying "I guess the original books came even before Raiders" showed you had no clue about those books at all so hence my post. i'm here to help, you know.

Normally I'm the same way, but this was the first time I was really glad I saw it in 3D. Normally, I'm sitting there with the glasses on wishing I was watching it in Regular D, but this was a much better experience than I've had in the past. Everything was crisp and clear and the 3D really added to the experience. I highly recommend seeing it in 3D if you get the chance.
