True story: One of my best friends in the world - my platonic soul mate, if you will - once told me that her ex-boyfriend, when trying to stave off a necessary break-up, said: "You can't do this. We have to be together. We're Pam and Jim!!"

Of course, you'd have to be some sort of pill addict or insane to think that was some kind of compliment.
