Tonight they are going to get a bomb.

Also, Kiefer is on the cover of TV Guide this week and there is a sneak peek of the finale. On the cover is a quote from the creator of 24, Joel Surnow...

Quote:
This isn't just our best finale-it might be our best episode ever!

I'm trying to hold out and not read the article, i don't know how long that will last though.

Y'know ... 24/25 episodes lasts FOREVER! I hope this works out for FOX so that other stations will consider running a season of shows without breaks and shit.

yeah its a lot better than the first couple of seasons where there would frequently be 2-3 week breaks every time there was a holiday or something.

You mean like how Lost is on only every other month?

Anywho, whoever at Fox thought of the 24 straight episodes consecutively.. is a smart person. Now, if they'd move the show out of LA...

that's next year's thing. they've also been to mexico though...

tonight i think jack will kill some dude. don't know when, but i think he will...

as for the last ep... jack and marwan shooting or hand to hand duking it out? or maybe just hitting marwan in a car, or mi-2 style it with the crotch rockets....

yeah, i definately agree that i don't like reruns. i can understand if it's a new show, but there are weeks when nothing is on and everything is a rerun. that's the good thing about alias, it started late, so they'd have all these episodes on with no repeats. they should probably go to the cable format... play half the season, play em all over again, then finish the season then play the second half again... like the stargate style.

Hats for bats! Keep bats warm!

I had to be that guy...everyone knew he was gonna come back, but it's exciting now. The terrorists are 92 miles from where they want to plant the bomb, so that's approximately what, and hour and a half? And Jack gets to corner Marwan next week. I think the next month and a half of episodes are gonna be absolutely killer.

Two things that we learned early in the episode:

1. Curtis was at Division, which would explain his absence.

2. The pages that Marwan stole contained the locations of the bombs. So that comment about the 24 writers being bad isn't correct. They said that Marwan couldn't use the football unless both the book and the laptop were together, but he wasn't going to use the football, he just wanted the pages that contained the locations.

I don't like this new president, he is such a whimp. Good god

Now if they captured the war head between Illinois and Iowa and they were only 92 miles from their destination that would leave only one major major city, Chicago. Perhaps that's where they are going to plant the bomb?

I can't wait for David Palmer's return next week!!! WOO!

I'm not so sure about that. My understanding wasn't that they had to be used together to just locate the nukes, but to activate them as well. IMO, it was still left unexplained, but oh well.

I do feel a bit better about the helicopter only shooting one jeep, since in the recap at the beginning it looked more like the jeeps were taking two different directions.

This was a good ep tonight. I liked what Jack did to get a hold of that witness...good stuff. Although, it's kind of funny that Jack was the ONLY person to realize how convenient it was for the witness to already have a Amnesty lawyer on the case.

well if you consider that CTU is a top government agency who continually hires terrorists and traitors, bitchy know it all broads, and stumbling bumbling momma's boys with regularity, and that everyone who works at CTU is personally involved with each other like it was Days of our Lives, then it aint too hard to think Jack would be the only one to pick up on things...hes Jack. Hes better than Jebus!

Why do you care where it's based?

Chicago is the prime choice, but we could also have Milwaukee, Detroit, or St. Louis. Milwaukee/Detroit are lame choices, but it would be cool to knock down the arch.

Give the show a change of scenery. Maybe a different city would add a different dynamic. Give Jack some different support/challenges. Plus, how plausible is it that these terrorist acts all happen in the SoCal region? It would be interesting to see is all.

the way i understood it was that they needed the whole football to not activate, but launch the nukes. and they aren't going to try and launch the nuke. they are just going to plant it and detonate it. but i don't know.

They can't simply activate it without the codes they received. If they just had the locations, it would take much longer to activate the warhead (if they even could). Thus, stupid.

Good episode last night, but the Edgar/Audrey/Tony/Michelle bullshit nearly made it a bad one. I'm glad Edgar didn't interfere at the end there.

i bet he will interefere at some point though, they're just building up to it. i don't know if its worse to have one season long stupid subplot like the kim ones of years past or to have the stupid subplots last only a few episodes and then move on to the next one like they are doing this year.

terrorists don't target lesser cities. they want to kill the most possible at one time. chicago is the destination. that or an airstrip to take it someplace. airplane with a nuke, flying over d.c. setting itself off... remember that we only have 6 hours left, or 360 minutes. minus commercials... 264 minutes.
