When responding to tree's thread I had a quick little flashback of a dream I once had. Not sure when I had this dream but it was definitely pre-college, but I'm pretty sure post-6th grade. Anyway, anyone else have these?

I rarely remember my dreams, but this happens to me every now and then. It's always just a quick flash. I never really remember large portions.

When I was in my late teens I had a recurring theme of a Satanic amusement park. It wasn't a recurring dream as it wasn't the same dream all the time, but different dreams taking place in that amusement park.

Anyway, one of those dreams was followed by my first experience of sleep paralysis, which happened right after this terrifying image of a giant hoofed demon running towards me. Then I woke up but couldn't move. I still get flashes of it from time to time.

I was a member of the Church of Satan at the time and having a lot of very disturbing, very horrifying dreams. They all stopped when I left the church. The orgies just weren't worth it.

Killer Clowns from outer space and Adventures in Babysitting themed nightmares.

What? yea.

Playing it out in the front yard of my childhood home when a car would drive by and throw a nice. This knife would get lodged into my foot (adventures in babysitting....) and I would run inside knowing I was on the verge of death. Of course I would always wake up prior.....

I have a nearly identical memory from a childhood dream, but I don't have flashes of it at all. It's just something that I remember. I had this dream when I was about 8 or 9 after I first gave a try to crossing myself like a good little catholic kid before going to sleep. I never did it again and never had that dream again.

I do have flashes of a dream I once had as a kid, of a battle tank rolling over a field of sunflowers. A movie or a documentary of some sort came out last year whose promotional poster was almost exactly the same image. It freaked me out to no end. Still does.

this is an old scary dream that still gives me chills when I think about it:

In my dream my house was haunted in that I "detected" a ghost was in the house.
that doesn't sound that scary but in my dream, it was.

at one point the phone rang.
I didn't answer it, and the answering machine turned on,

I could hear my answering machine message greeting--and suddenly my own voice on the greeting started to slow down, then got slower and slower and deeper and deeper and then it started saying demonic things..

I don't know...there's something about hearing your own voice turn demonic that..., well...., makes for one scary-ass dream that you remember for years.
