Hey, no sweat. You'll never see anything on theskyiscrape.com before I've made my purchase.

But.....This is exactly what everyone will experience with the new ticketing system. Sold out in 30 seconds with most people never having a shot.
It's going to be hilarious when everyone wants the old system back.
Why would they go any faster than with 10C's old system?

Slow servers = slow sales.
I remember trying to get EV tickets from TM... was logged in and refreshed right when they went on sale and got nothing. That's not TM's fault or the 10c's, it's the result of high demand with a high capacity server. I expect the same on 13.dec.

Isn't that infinitely better than the same thing taking eight hours (or more)?
Not that I've ever had that experience being in Australia, but I would much prefer to know if I did or didn't get tickets within a few minutes and then either forget about it or start thinking about the public sale. Sitting there for hours on end when you might not even get tickets is ridiculous.

I don't know. I've probably gotten tickets in the past b/c some number of people don't know to keep refreshing. They log in, get "out of stock," and quit. Then I get a ticket b/c only the diehards are still in there F5ing.
Just a theory.

So this system would make it worse for some but more equitable overall?

I'm down with that.
So.. we should wait to judge.
BUT
It depends... is it more frustrating to always have try for hours and fail or always have them sell out so quickly you never get a shot? Obviously worst case, but it could be bad. With the old system, perseverance often pays off. New system? Could just be the best internet connection.
ANYWAY... I'm very pleased they turned the billboard into a poster. It's much cooler than the real posters and I hope the 10c puts them back on sale so that everyone who attended can get one. As a unique gift for the fans that were there. Everyone who didn't go... you just go ahead and pick up one of those fleet center rehearsal posters. Those are pretty good.

I think B is right about the tickets but I probably agree with Speeno

I thoroughly enjoyed this post-- and agree. I'd love to have this poster. This poster reminds me of the weekend more than the actual show posters. I hope they make non-signed/numbered prints available.

Because the billboard was being made throughout the weekend and finished at the end of the final note on the final day.

Umm.. OK. I really think it's because they two official posters for the show were less than stellar. Cool idea to take all their characters from the last 20 years and blend them into one image, but the execution was not ideal. For example one is oriented vertically and the other horizontally so they look strange when put together. They come nowhere near the quality of the artwork produced for the SA tour, but the billboard poster does. IT'S ALL WE HAVE LEFT DAMMIT!

I was just stating that the billboard painter was busily working to get it completed the whole weekend, nothing more or less in my posting on an internet messageboard.
