Ya know, I've never seen such a huge group of fuckin hypocrites in here. Yall preach about love and equal rights and things like that.
However, every post in the political section is basically like fuck these people and fuck those people. Especially Catholics. I'm a good ole catholic boy and yall say you want equal rights, however, half the threads on this section of the board are saying bad things and untruthful things especially abt catholicism, which evades from your crusade against 'equal rights'.
Please research all your facts before you post. For example, homosexuality and making fun of the Pope. We do not condemn homosexuals, we condemn the act. Tell me when millions of people watch your funeral because of grief and when 6 million people of all walks of life attend your funeral.
yall have fun being hypocrites. representing the 1.1 Billion Catholics,

Mmmhm. Elaborate on how you can condemn a person's life without condemning them. A guy raising a family with another guy is A-OK up until the butt-sex? Last I read Catholicism was very clear about how a man needs a woman to complete himself in God's image.

Dear Stewart,
A couple things here.
First: This is just a message board, even within the sacred News and Debate forum, there will be people who are making jokes mainly to get a laugh, piss someone off, get attention, or just because they thought it was funny and posted it because it's fairly easy to hit the submit button.
Second: I was raised Catholic, I don't practice the religion as an adult. I will say only a few things about the pope and homosexuality then I'm out because I really hate discussing this stuff until I'm blue in the face and feeling angry.
I had very little respect for the pope. I'm old enough that I remember him as fairly young and vigorous, as well as damning of the idea that you can indeed be Catholic and faithful in your beliefs yet use birth control or (heaven forbid) be a woman who believes to hear the call of God and want to become a "priest"
Regardless of that, I will say I've found myself much more interested and appreciative of the MAN who was the pope after his death than before it, mainly because I got a good overview of his personal history thanks to all the attention the media gave him once he died.
Concerning his doctrine... like I say, I'm not a practicing Catholic, and feel no ties to that or any other religion.
And the homosexuality issue you mention...I say a hearty: bullshit to you. You may not hate the person and only the act, but I find it hypocritical of YOU and any religion that wants to base itself on love and how we are all children of God, yet you feel it your duty to pass judgment on people based on their sexuality.
Far as I'm concerned, religion is the same as exclusion from what I've learned. I'll have no part of that. But thanks for your time. and lighten up, you'll be a happier Catholic, and hopefully a more understanding, less judgmental one.

Do you honestly think he covered it up. Thats like letting the media tell you the world is ending in 5 years, which was on CNN 3 days ago. It became a big deal but did they tell you that another religion (starts with a P, has had the most cases of rape) As catholics, we are ashamed of those incidents and we do not stand for them. But as you will, go ahead and stereotype.
But its alright for "muslims" to declare "jihad"...the truth is that the media wants you to hear a bunch of BS. Jihad can only be called by the head of the Muslim church. And a 'holy war' can not have secular policies tied to them.

go ahead and stereotype...you know, being in a fraternity, i have futher apperciated my religion. But you must try and bring someone down. Tell me when the last time your fraternity raised over 9 million dollars for children with dissabilities, or tell me when the last time you even knew anything about fraternities, just go ahead and reply what you have heard in the media.
Funny how you want to say i'm a "frat boy" now that we do not agree with each other, didnt happen earlier

well, yall can call the judge thing, however that is my opinion. if i am not mistaken everyone judges on a daily basis.
i'm not judging homosexuality, i honestly have a friend that is. i'm just saying that the act is not right, by doctrine. a penis was not meant to go in the anal cavity. If you can prove to me it was, then by all means let me know. bc you cannot procreate that way

If any of those men involved, including bishops and cardinals, did not act to remove those men from the cloth...then obivously yes.
If they moved priests around rather than turning them over to the police, then obviously yes.
