Just got one of these last week. Anyone else have a color/tablet? Not too many apps out there for it so far, but hopefully that will improve. I love reading on it, though.

Of all time? That is a difficult one.

My favorite that I have read recently is "Swan Song" by Robert McCammon

The nook color looks cool. I ended up getting the kindle fire which i've really enjoyed so far. I was concerned about watching tv shows and movies on the 7 in screen but it really hasn't bothered me and when i traveled over thanksgiving it was great for the plane ride.

Love being able to read graphic novels on it too :D

I'm hoping to get a Kindle Fire for Christmas. I like the portability of it and the fact it's not $500 like an iPad.

I got a Kindle Fire as a gift. It's alright, but the app selection is for shit. It's supposed to be an Android device, but none of the Android apps work on it.

It's not meant to be a full fledged Android tablet. That being said, there was a workaround for getting the Android App Store.

We were gonna get Kindles for the kids, then somebody showed me this. It's loaded with 2.2, but it's more versatile and runs all of the apps and whatnot. Never heard of the company, but it got good reviews and we haven't had any problems.

I like that the nook has more on board storage, but i also like how the fire has the cloud storage.

I think both devices are pretty similar. the only reason i went fire instead of nook is because i am a comic book geek and DC comics had some kind of falling out and they have an almost digital exclusive w/Amazon. If that wasn't the case i probably would have gotten a nook.

Like others have said for me it came down to price. I like the idea of a tablet adn would love an ipad, but i can handle a 200 dollar toy (sepcially using some early xmas cash to afford it) if i got an ipad for 500 bucks i'd not feel good about spending that much cash

that Le pan is interesting. i've not seen it before. I like the bigger screen

That's a good reason for the Nook over the Fire. I'm already an Amazon Prime member so that's why I'm more inclined to get that. Plus, I'm really just looking for an e-reader than can also surf the web and watch Netflix. Maybe occasionally play a game or two. Hard to go wrong with either one.

In the last six months, we've come into both a basic Kindle and the Fire. Reading a book on the regular Kindle is a zillion times better than the Fire. The Fire is just another lit up screen that I have to look at after a day of staring at a lot of lit up screens.

My eyes are paying a price. :(

I'm worried about that too. Sometimes I forget to blink.
