This could be great.
Coming Soon: Eddie Vedder in the Fretboard Journal One of the most often asked questions I get from our readers is "what's coming up in your next issue?" Though we like to keep each and every issue of the FJ a surprise -- it's fun to have a magazine that follows no template, covers the entire spectrum of guitars and styles and keeps you on your toes -- I'm happy to spill the beans on a few highlights.
In our forthcoming 23rd issue of the Fretboard Journal (currently being delivered from our printer), we have an interview with singer-songwriter Gillian Welch; an in-depth interview with the Kingston Trio's Bob Shane and a great piece on Larry Cragg (Neil Young's guitar tech), plus a whole lot more.
In Fretboard Journal #24, which is being designed right now, there are a ton of great stories and photographs about musicians and instrument builders that we'll discuss later but I'm excited to announce the issue's cover story: a lengthy interview and photo shoot with Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder. We talked to Vedder about the 20th anniversary of his band, his songwriting process, his guitar collection and, of course, ukuleles (he has a stellar ukulele album out now, in case you didn't know). This 20-page feature will be out before the end of the year and we can't wait to show it to you.
As always, every issue of the FJ is 128 pages long and filled with exclusive photography and in-depth stories you won't find anywhere else. Advertising is kept to a minimum and limited to gear makers and dealers we think you'll love. If you're a guitar nut, this magazine is for you. Subscribe today and we'll make sure you get the above two issues delivered straight to your home (and at a discount) before anyone else.
