Hey all,

I got free Ween tickets tonight and have now listened to 4 of their songs...was close to downloading them a couple times, now wish I had done it. Heard and read good things about them...plus they sound pretty dece.

Normally I don't go to shows unless I'm well versed...however since the tickets are free and the show's down the block: I say "fuck it".

Yeah...threw Pure Guava, Chocolate & Cheese, 12 Golden Country Greats, and Mollusk on my iPod in anticipation of post-concert interest.

Any extra additions you suggest I add?

Sounds like a very decent selection, I'd say you're set for the time being.

Is this an appropriate time to bring up that my wife once got high and partied with Ween in Amsterdam? Because yeah, that happened.

One of my all time favorite bands. I've seen Ween countless times. Never a bad show! Have fun.

Was good. They fucking played forever. Definitely talented but I definitely enjoy shows more when I already know the material.

Really? Aren't good songs just good songs?

I imagine that would also limit you to only seeing relatively well-known bands.

That approach seems kind of restricting.

Don't most people generally enjoy concerts more when they're familiar with the material?

Discounting any sound issues, I don't really see why that would be. It's a different experience than being familiar with the material, but I don't see it as less enjoyable.
